Subject: the clairvoyant's advice

Helen

16:03 03/04/2002

A clairvoyant showed me a range of bracelets made from semi-precious stones that she asked me to choose from.

I took out two bracelets of similar design and seeing my choice she pulled out one with a similar design but even more beautiful and said, "I think this is the one you're looking for". I can't remember exactly but I think it had large green stones in it.

I then waited for her to give me the advice or reading I was waiting for. After a while she returned to me and said, "Why don't you tell men how you feel about them when you are together with them?"

"Because I am afraid," I said. Then she said, "The next time you are together with a man you must tell him how you feel or you will lose him".

Note:

When I woke up it seemed like a pretty inconsequential dream but I felt good, reassured somehow and that feeling stayed with me all day.

Hi Helen, Since no-one else has replied I'll give it a go. I find it an interesting dream but tricky to read (for me) as it seems so literal and real, particularly the advice and response given. Could your 'clairvoyant' be your 'clear-seeing' inner female presenting you with another, even better option? And the reference to men - are you afraid of integrating your inner male? Good luck.

Hi Helen,

I've had a further thought. Could design signify de-sign? ie does a legal document or contract need reconsidering or pulling out of? And the two then a third could be years. What has happened to you in the past 2 - 3 years which may need reassessing, particularly in terms of contracts? And what are you waiting for? Something you already know the answer to but are too afraid to deal with just yet maybe?

Hi Helen,

The feeling I get is that your inner "clear- seeing" self knows exactly what you want, but is saying that if you don't acknowledge that ability, you might lose it.

I'd guess that the good feeling it left you with was an assurance that you only need to look inside for answers.

Do you usually want others to help you make decisions or to do things for you?

Just a thought.

Hi Lena and Helen, I'm not sure about these interpretations. No I don't usually want others to help me make decisions at all. I'm very independent. But your point about inner clear-seeing Lena - that sounds right. As for reassessing contracts Nani, the only one standing is my marriage and I'm not at all hesitant about the decision required there. So feeling fearful about that doesn't ring true for me at all. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. Is it possible that while most dreams are symbolic of something else, some dreams are actually clairvoyant?

Hi Helen,

Some dreams do turn out to be precogntive (see "The Shape of Things to Come") but usually EVEN the precognitive part applies in symbolic terms.

Bracelets adorn the arms. Jewellery in dreams can draw attention to the body part. Arms embrace and handle the world. Your dream bracelets may have symbolised how you embrace and handle the world, the message being that your jewel (gift, talent?) in this area is much greater than you realise (the bigger bracelet).

Look at the word 'bracelet'. Brace + let. Brace means to hold something together - perhaps to restrict it. Or to 'brace yourself'. The word 'let' is almost the opposite - to let go, to flow. Since dreams love word play, one possible meaning for the bracelet in your dream is to LET go of the BRACE. On the other hand (or arm ...) 'brace' is part of 'embrace', so we come back to "letting yourself embrace" again.

Either way, the additional message is one of oepning up and communicating in some way. (The clairvoyant's message to speak up ..).

Green stones. What does green mean to you? Often, in dreams, green comes up as personal growth and development (like growing leaves), or (if you are aware of yoga and the chakras) unconditional love. On the world play angle, green can mean naive, envious ...

Basically, in your dream, you are shown a range of choices and you select two before being shown a third (better) one along with a message about communication. Are you aware of having a selection of choices at this moment (or when you had the dream)? Were you thinking about two choices? What third (better) choice might you not be seeing clearly awake but are seeing clearly in your dream?

Also, the men the clairvoyant suggests you open up to: men in your dreams are most likely to symbolise your outer world (Yang, left brain qualities ..). How might you open up in these areas, or, where is the third choice in this area?

Adding to all the replies above, I hope this helps.

Hi Jane, Thanks very much for your input... it was very useful. I do work with my hands (artist), so it seems the dream is probably then talking about my "gift/talent" and my ability to communicate it to the outside world... and to open up and let it flow. Maybe also not to take less but to expect more for myself? I'm still not aware of a selection of choices but that might be because I already know what I'm going to do at the end of the year. Do you think? Green represents envy or greed to me. How do you interpret that for the dream?

And to think I thought it was all about romance. (sigh) When will dreaming about men ever really be about men??!

Hi Jane, I've just thought of what that third choice might be. An artistic possibility that I don't dare consider seriously because it would be so ambitious. I had begun to dismiss it as a serious consideration but your help with this dream makes me think I should maintain an active investment in this area. So thanks again.

Hi Helen,

A pleasure.

As you see green as envy or greed, have a think about why the dream suggested that looking for (finding?) the green stones and talking openly about how you feel leads to a successful outcome.

"Tell them how you FEEL about them": feelings.

Envy, greed: feelings.

How might your third idea (gift/talent) seeming too ambitious or elusive to you (until now) be tied up with unspoken feelings of envy or greed?

How can looking at these feelings (understanding their origin and how they may have shaped your decisions) and letting them go make your third idea easier to achieve?
