OVERVIEW INTERPRETATION
Hi Yvonne,
Your dream title, ‘Small things’, presumably summarises your feeling for the theme of your dream. A small school for small people and small mini golf and … a ticket, a very small item and a very small price to pay (investment) for a big car, not even a mini!
Golf is a game you can win just as buying a ticket is entering a game you can win. Little children play games at kindergarten.
Golf is often seen as a game for older people, even for retired people at quite the opposite end of the spectrum from kindergarten children. And ‘golf’ is a car.
Cars, in dreams, often represent your drive and motivation. Oh look, another association: you drive a golf ball. The type of car and state of the car reflect your drive or the way you go about your life or see yourself. So, what does a Holden Commadore mean to you? What do you see as the personality of this car? What kind of person drives a Holden Commadore?
Consider dream word plays in the make of a car. What are you ‘holding’? There is gold (d’or) in commadore, perhaps. Are you holding an investment of some kind? I’m thinking here of little children being the future leaders of the world, of all small things growing into bigger things, of investments that permit retirement and the playing of golf. I’m running wild, but I’m demonstrating how to look for associations between the symbols of a small dream with little in the way of extra clues to help with the interpretation. As you can see, small things do indeed have a way of growing.
In summary, I see a theme in your dream reflecting a belief that something that appears to be new and small in your life now will grow in a winning way. Your dream reflects a belief that there are no obstacles and that you are about to experience a new sense of drive. To build that drive your dream reminds you, perhaps, to start small, to take small steps and to embrace a sense of play.
When only a fragment of a dream is recalled, most insight is to be gained by doing a dialogue dream alchemy practice. I’ve suggested one for you here.
DREAM ALCHEMY PRACTICE
Dialogue:
Your dialogue is between a Holden Commadore and you. Start with you saying, “I’m holden the lucky ticket. What are you holden in store for me?” and see what the car automatically answers. Keep it going for 20 minutes.
How to do this:
Give yourself no longer than 20 minutes. When you do this exercise do NOT think! Don’t plan ahead. Just let whatever happens happen. Let the two entities speak to each other on paper using whatever words come up. It’s a bit like writing a film script or play – but without the brain being involved.
How does this work?
By not thinking, by keeping the words flowing, you are letting your right brain and unconscious mind do most of the work. They created the original dream so they know what these symbols mean for you. They will reveal. You will be surprised.
