"11:11 Again"

Subject: 11:11 again

10:47 10/10/2002

I first came across 11:11 a few years ago when I first met my husband. He said that he often noticed the time when it was 11:11, especially at night and he thought it might be because that's when he was born. His birth was recorded as 11pm but he thought perhaps it was put down to the nearest hour for convenience. His twin sister was actually born after midnight and she was put down as having been born at the same time as him when it was technically the next day. I said at the time that 11:11 was a time more likely to be taken notice of and remembered than other times, but when I began to see many references to it on the internet, I thought perhpas there was something in it.

It has never been particularly noticable to me, although 11th November last year was particularly meaningful to me. However, I have recently been reading the biography of Uri Geller, it was one of those books that chose me at a time when the last thing I neeeded was another book to read. Intrigued by his story, one day I checked out his website (urigeller.com) and found that he has a link on his home page to articles on 11:11. It makes interesting reading. He has a theory that it is encoded in our DNA and that when we start noticing it, it is an indication that we are awakening spiritually. Incidentally, my husband's Ruling number in numerology is 11 - a very spiritual number.

I had looked at the website during the day, and that night I sat down to continue reading the biography about 10:15. After a while I began to think abuot going to bed and thought it must be about 11:30. I glanced around at the clock, it was 11:11. Hmmm. Interesting coincidence. The following night I again sat down to read some time after 10. As time went by, I began to find it difficult to concentrate because I kept thinking of the time. Not being able to stand it any longer, i peeked at the time - 11:06. I went back to reading but in a few minute's time again felt a compulsion to look - 11:10, this time. I thought, Oh well, that blows that, and felt a strange sense of relief. I turned back to the book and within two sentences I read, "The time of the break (of his son's spectacle frames) was 11:11am - a number Uri believes is so powerful that he has incorporated it in one of his phone numbers.' Aaaaagh! As far as I can recall, that was the first time in the book that a reference was made to 11 in any way. I have about at least 8 clocks in my house and none of them agree exactly in time. If I had looked at another clock it would have shown a different time. I just happened to look at the clock nearest me and I don't always read in the same spot.

I have since asked a few of my friends if they have any experience of the time, and I have been surprised at the stories that have come out. Incidentally, Uri advocates noting what was going on anytime that the number is noticed and also saying a prayer for world peace.

Perhaps it is no coincidence that armistice day is 11/11.

Food for thought?

Just to clarify. The book was written by a journalist, Jonathon Margolis, and the reference to the spectacle frames was when he was in a shop getting replacement lenses for his son's sunglasses that had 'unbreakable' nitinol frames. The break occurred at the same time that he said he had to hurry because he was late for a meeting with Uri. It was one of many strange happenings that occurred during the time of writing the book.

Hi again, Gloria. For more on this matrix, I recommend Solara's website, www.nvisible.com. I can't imagine anyone promoting this idea of 11:11 more than her, getting people together to celebrate this idea with such colourful and high-spirited enthusiasm.

Hi Geoffo, I had a look at the site - WOW. I had no idea there was such a big deal about these numbers.

Hi Gloria!

I was reading your posting on seeing the numbers 11:11 frequently! I have not heard anything about the signficance of this number, but found it interesting!

What struck me about your posting is that I have had the same experience for years now where I happen to look at the clock, whether it be at home, car, or at work, and frequently is at the time 9:12. This is my birthdate! I've often thought it odd that I happen to look at the clock when it is that time, but have now just taken it into stride that there is some reason for this but I haven't figured it out yet! I could possibly think it was just coincidence if it were a different number, but to frequently do it when it's right no my birthdate makes me very curious. Any thoughts?

Take care,

Susan

WHAT IS
SYNCHRONICITY?

Jane Teresa's Explanation

Jane Teresa Anderson

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?

________

Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way.

Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ...

Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.

Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams.

When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness.

At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity.

To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.

Reality may never feel the same again!

______

P.S.

In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream.

The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.

This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow.

What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)

It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.

Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.

There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.

My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.

Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.

Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.
