Subject: Inteligent Cat

My grandpa wants to give my mother and me a present.

He decides to give me some musical CDs, but I can't say what band it was, only that the band members were male.

Later, I am listening to some music. I'm not sure if it is the CD's that my grandpa gave me or not. There is a cat (gray and brown with black stripes in color) laying on my lap. I am petting her.

Suddenly the cat begins to sing with the song. I think that she should have an accent in speaking English, but I don't know if she does or not. I tell her that she is a sweety kitty.

Then the cat turns into a rather attractive woman. Somebody says to the cat woman, "You ARE intelligent. Science never believed so."

I say, "I always knew you were." But I realize that perhaps even I would treat her different if she were a cat than if she were a human.

Hi Shalie21,

I wonder if the "present" is as in time, rather than a gift. Something for the now?

Cats are thought to be very intuitive so maybe the cat is your intuitive self speaking with you.

You say that "even I would treat her different if she were a cat". Maybe that means that you don't value your intuition?

Older people sometimes represent wisdom. Is your "gandpa" advising you to pay more attention to your intuitive self in the now?

Just a thought.

Hi again,

I just love the sentence "Science never believed so".

Would it be okay with you if I use it for a story? It has such an intriguing ring to it that I'd like to use it as the opening line in the next short story that I write.

Have you worked out what it means in the dream?

Hi Lena, Thanks for your ideas on the dream. I haven't figured it out quite yet, but I think it's interesting to note that in a previous dream I'm giving old presents to my grandpa and in this dream my grandpa is giving me presents.

You can use the line "Science never believed so" in your story if you want :-)

Thanks again
