Hi Chris
Do you know that water in dreams is usually symbolic of 'emotions'? The clarity of the water can give you an indication of the emotions such as dark murky water - unclear emotions - lovely clean clear water - an emotional issue cleared up perhaps.
I often dream of swimming pools. What were your feelings around the swimming pools? Sometimes just asking questions can make the dream details come back.
The black onyx table is interesting too - does onyx mean anything to you? Even if it sounds dumb, explain your experience with Onyx even if feels irrelevant...as you start explaining, a 'subject' or an issue might begin to twig and you go....hang on....onyx...hmmmm....this could be something afer all.
I have found it useful to record those dreams that seem to jump from one dream scene to another. Often they are full of meaning, and the scene is just changing so that each issue or message can be delivered in the best way possible that will mean something to you.
Even if you don't get very far with this post, keep that journal going as it's great to be able to look back once you've got a book full and see all the meanings that you've extracted from start to finish. It's like accomplishing a major project, except the benefit of course is that it's a project on yourself.
