Hi Chris and Lara,
I'd like to add some more:
Is there a situation in your life, Chris, where you feel you have been like a robot, carrying out someone else's instructions or acting according to someone else's expectations? Has this left you feeling broken (down)?
In the dream you are a like a child as you are playing with toys. It was this child-like aspect of yourself which fixed the robots. Is your life situation one which could benefit from more playful input, more expression of a child-like creativity perhaps, rather than being restrained within different guidelines? Or were there hopes, wishes, talents or skills you had as a playful child which you could do with bringing into your life now to heal (mend) it?
The robots are a part of yourself, most likely. Which part of yourself/your life seems broken and incomplete? Spineless, perhaps ... unable to stand tall and strong? The white electricity seems like a flush of energy running up and down the spine - a reconnection of broken bits to form one WHOLE functioning system. Each area of the spine can be seen, according to some philosophies (eg yoga) as energy points, or chakras, each representing different qualities. To electrically mend these in the dream is to have full nerve functioning or full interplay between the energy points. It can also be seen as a rising of energy .. a rising of consciousness.
In some sense your dream surprises me as I would have expected the robots, once mended, to transform from the mechanical into something more human.
My feeling about the jacket is that it represents something you like (and would like to have, and may, indeed, feel you have just found in life) but which is really not for you. Sometimes we 'wear' other people's attitudes or expectations instead of wearing our own. I feel the jacket represents this.
You may find it beneficial to spend some time contemplating which aspects and attitudes in your life are truly expressions of your heart, and which are instead the result of other people's expectations.
Tie this in with Lara's reply and ... let us know!
