Subject: frogs and crocodiles

I was on a rocky cliff with a frog. He was like the cartoon frog prince, very green and may even have had a crown.

Over the cliff was the ocean and in the ocean were three crocodiles. They were cartoonish also. They could stand on their legs and walk.

The stupid frog jumps off the cliff into the water and I yell to get out before the crocodiles get him. He jumps back up the cliff and urges me to the side of the cliff and then tries to push me off.

I refuse as I explain that I can't jump back up like the frog. He is insistent but before I know it, the crocodiles have scaled the cliff and I have to climb up onto a pile of rocks that is very unstable.

The dream ends with me at the top and not knowing if the crocodiles are waiting below or if the tail I can see is really just that of a harmless lizard.

I read your second dream first, but you can relate the two dreams (so read my other response too!). Like the 'sale' dream the end of this dream seems to be about things that are hidden and decieving - you think it is one thing, but it could be another. The frog betrays you, the crocodiles seem to be stable but then they climb up but you're not sure if they are indeed nasty crocodiles are harmless lizards. Is there someone/something around you that has betrayed you in some way? Or something that you aspired to that didn't turn out to be all you expected? The dream reminds me of a work situation, for example, where people are nice to your face but not behind you back (are they crocodiles or lizards?). You put your trust in something, then it backfires (like the other dream). Is there any such situation in your life?

Hello Christopher darling!

Mmmmm have been giving this dream some thought. I reiterate that the talking crocodile may have some Australian pun/reference as in Crocodile Dundee?? But I think the cliffs are key too. What is the cliff you need to take a leap off? its interesting that you were afraid of the crocodiles and thought you'd stay up on the ledge in safety, yet they still managed to find their way up to your level....... and then you're on the pile of rocks.... "rocky ground".

I don't think you'll mind me mentioning this here - but Chris moved to Paris recently (Paris wasn't ready for him) and so he moved to London.

Christopher - Frogs = frogs legs = Paris!!!!

Perhaps this dream is reflective upon your recent experiences. Perhaps the Frog (the luck frog) is that part of you that knows you will be able to take a leap and "be ok". Perhaps the crocodiles are you fears about being in this elevated place?

You're going through huge changes and the water is far below you/ distant - maybe you're not in touch emotionally as the changes you're making are so financial, practical, logical. Maybe this dream is just reflecting to you that you have been avoiding your fears?

Maybe there is a situation regarding France coming up where you have to forgo your fears and jump over there anyway despite the fears!?

I hope your fears turn out to be harmless old lizzards, but we both know that you are were you are meant to be and that "Gale" is blowing you in the right direction.

Thanks for the clues, they have propted me to identify a few of the elements in this dream. Julia...I think you are right that the frog could represent Paris, which was a very emotional time for me. The fact that the frog jumps into the water and still climbs back up to my cliff, I beleive is indicative of the fact that despite my very logical decision to leave Paris and make some money in London, until I deal with those emotions,ie jump of the cliff, My emotional fears will keep appearing, and even find me at whatever hights |I get to. Its funny that the frog is a frog prince.......ie .....has the possability of becoming the perfect character of my fairytale....but is still just a frog. I think there is someone in Paris that I really need to talk to and have a few very honest discussions with. With regard to the leap....I have actually gone through a very large leap I believe, in the past few days...around the time of the dream....(actualy a bit after it ) In general I thnik this dream was really about facing my crocodiles - Thr prehistoric relics that they are......
