Subject: big glass jar

Anne

14:45 02/01/2001

Someone was passing me a very big glass jar with a bright yellow lid but before I got hold of it properly I dropped it and it smashed.

I woke up with a big jump.

Note:

Since getting a ceiling fan in my bedroom I haven't remembered dreaming so often. When I had this dream I was not at home and the neighbours there were very noisy.

The jar was similar to the jar with the yellow lid in which I keep my assorted (edible) nuts, except that I've dropped this jar before but it has always bounced as it is plastic.

I am wondering if this is a warning and has something to do with what I found out this morning, following the dream. I have put an offer in on something and now someone has made a higher offer, so maybe I'm going to miss out (hence the smashed glass jar?).

Hi Anne,

Let me preface my statement first by saying, it is never my intentions to hurt, only heal.

Anne, many dreams are due to much talking. I think if you would take the time to reflect and think, "your" dreams will dissipate. And, the dreams that come from a "bigger conscious or spirit" will start to flow more easier and with clarity.

Let's analyze your dream:

What is a jar? Jar defined-1. jolt suddenly; rattle; make a harsh sound. 2, affect unpleasantly; annoy or disconcert. 3, a clash; conflict.4, a wide-mouthed vessel. Have you heard the term ajar? For instants, the door is ajar. That means it is open. Anne, yellow usually, not always represent caution. Here's a small prayer: Creator, help me to keep a watch over my mouth. Your very words sometimes keep you from progressing as well. Others tend to think that your are 1) a know it all or, 2) busy body. From your perspective this is not true. That's ok.

Try not to share as much with people who do not understand you. Talk more to yourself. Start to evaluate others conversations. But, you have to take the time to listen, and listen fairly and carefully.

So, in all essence the jar represents your mouth or someone's mouth. The offer has really nothing to do with dream. But, do not let negative thinking or words interfere with the universe decision for you.

tangala.walker@philips.com Remember you associated the jar in the dream with the jar your edible nuts were in. A peanut is a term used for a small person.

Hi Anne

What does the color yellow feel like for you personally? For me yellow is a bright, cheerful color. I think of the sun. As a teenager I had a bright yellow bedspread with equally blinding lime green carpet. If I dreamed of yellow, I would ask myself if I associated it more with a cheerful outlook or my teenage years (less cheerful). Your associations would be different, and a clue to what the dream is speaking.

The jar is a container, and on waking you associated it with the nut jar. Nuts are a delicious snack and a form of nourishment. Is a source of nourishment slipping by? The dream container was breakable, whereas your nut jar is not. Do you have any associations for a pleasure or nourishment in your life that is fragilely contained right now?

How did you feel when the jar slipped and broke? What did you feel had been lost? Or did you just feel clumsy? Do you know why the jar was being passed to you? Did you want it, or did you just put out your hand because it was offered to you?

I do believe in precognizant dreams. You mentioned that you wondered if this was related to your offer which was out-bid. I always assume first that a dream is giving information on my current state of mind and heart, pointing in the direction I need to go rather than telling me what will happen. These are just my thoughts. Good luck on uncovering your own meaning!

Good Morning Ann,

I truly hope you figure this one out.

However, I like the first interpretation better. Every interpretation doesn't have to be positive. It seems more real. The second interpretation is more like a brainstorm or a walk through. Use them both to draw a conclusion.

Good Luck and continue to dream!

G'day Girls, thank you for your input. Yellow was my favourite colour when a teenager, but I go more to blue now, can't wear yellow or pink. How I felt - not devastated just sorry, just bad luck, nothing to worry about. I have taught myself not to worry about little things like that. I don't know who the other person was, but that's usual in my dreams. I actually don't remember what was in the broken jar of my dream.

This was one of my short sharp dreams, more than possibly precognition. Peanuts I cannot eat, the jar contains cashews, almonds, walnuts, with an odd macadamia & pecan. I am now a bit of a talker since going off those dopey tablets - you'll have to go back through the dream list to find out about these.

I was taking the jar with 2 hands & it slipped through my fingers (forgot to put in the slipping bit). The door is still ajar on that offer. Also back in the dream list you'll find a short sharp dream I had 4 hours before a car accident I had, felt this was similar.

Why I felt it was a warning was not the colour, but it would be the sort of thing a certain person would do. I feel is still around & keeps an eye on me although he passed on nearly 2 years ago. Why I think he is still around, the smell of my handcream at times, which I rarely use, but have noticed the smell, even in a heavy wind when doing something that he would have been doing. This is not an idle thought, he always said he would let me know if he was still around. This is also explained in a reply to a lady in the dream list. The yellow might have been to make me remember the dream.

Hi Anne

Yes I remember our conversation about smells. Maybe this has something to do with not letting something 'slip through your fingers' - you'd be 'nuts' in other words...

SYMBOLS:

An empty jar indicate financial uncertaincy. Dropping signifies to watch your spending and to try to have a more realistic approach to managing your money. Smashing can be a sign of upcoming difficulties. Yellow indicates that you will need to take a couple of steps back before moving forward so whatever you are trying to reach will not be as easy as you think; there will be obstacles in the way.

OVERALL MEANING: Therefore, this dream may indicate to stop bidding for items and find alternative ways for purchasing goods. Be aware of your financial limits to avoid future complications.

Had a long think about Astrobean's conclusion. I didn't say I was bidding, I made an offer, there is a difference. Well I took a couple of steps back & then jumped right in. Astrobean, are you male by any chance.
