I was in a mall near my house and I all of a sudden I stabbed someone in the eyes with a scalpel.

I made an x in each eye with the weapon. Then I stabbed and killed him.

I started to run. I didn’t know why I had done this. All the stores started turning into white gates and locking me in. As I was running people were running away from me screaming. Then I was caught.

Hi John,

This may seem like a strange question, but to help with the interpretation, can you say how you felt about this in the dream?

Yes, you are disturbed when you look back at the horror of the dream, but remember that the dream is symbolic.

In such a dream, the dreamer's feelings can vary. Some may feel horrified after the event while still in the dream, while others can feel okay, even relieved ... or any other number of positive emotions.

It can often be the case that the positive emotions in such a dream reveal positive changes within the dreamer.

In any case, we can all help you to make progress with understanding this dream if you can post your feelings during the dream here, John.

I often have dreams(especially around 5am) that I am trying to defend off an attacker (male or female), but all of my punches, kicks and sometimes stabs are to no avail. The attacker just keeps on trying to hurt me. I feel that it may be symbolic of power issues. Any ideas? Stephanie (age 22).
