Michele and I are sound asleep in bed when the phone goes. Michele answers it (which is unusual as the phone is on my side). I hear mum call out, "Fire, fire!"
Next I am on the phone and not Michele, and the phone is hung up.
My first impulse is to jump into my car and drive over as Mother-in-Law lives just up the road when I recall the words were said in German. It was my mother (not Michele’s) who called and she lives in Blackbutt, 3hours drive away.
Note:
I awake in fright with great concern for my parents.

hi gunter,
did you call them and is all ok???
i sometimes dream such things about my parents because as we all get older my concern for them increases - their mortality, vulnerability, frailty etc. This is me worrying about them and manifesting in the dream. But you'd know that one. The only bits that strike me as they would you, are the "unusualness" of Michele answering the phone and the "shock" when realising you had the wrong Mother in mind. This would have made it more alarming because your Mum lives further away. Is this Blackbutt Qld by the way??? as my Dad has a property there and I've worried about him being a decent drive away too!
I don't know except to speculate that it is you worrying about them rather than them being in trouble. Maybe it's a wake up call to make the time to see them more!!
regards,
Janelle |

Gunter,
I often have dreams from which I awaken in a state of anxiety. I usually do not remember them, but know that I cannot ignore that anxiety and must find some way to embrace it. I think our dreams will send us messages in progressively more vigorous ways until we pay attention.
I was struck by the way that your and Michele's identities were confused. The merging of some elements of your identities has happened before, hasn't it? I wonder if the message itself, "Fire, fire" is about your relationship. If so, it's a good thing, huh? Don't we all want some fire in a relationship?
Just some thoughts

Thanks Janelle & Rick.
Yes my parents do live in Blackbutt QLD lovely place but sooo far away from family for a pair of 70 plus year olds to be.
I really do not worry about my parents I believe it is what they have choosen in live, their lessons. But I do miss them.
I feel the dream is closer to home possible along the line of what you mentioned Rick
Fire yes the fire of passion are still there, but the ambers are still glowing waiting for the moment??
Yes it could have some thing to do with relationships but I will need to look into this one still uet closer. |
