Subject: driving own car

I am driving with my twin brother, Frank, and two other people who sit in the back of my new Toyota Starlet.

Frank keeps grabbing the steering wheel and putting his feet on the pedals. At one stage he is even sitting on my lap trying to drive my car.

I become very annoyed with him, pushing him away and telling him, "Let me drive. I know where I am going."

To add to this, his dog is also in the car and this upsets me more.

I finally had enough. I stopped the car, got out and asked him to get out as well. He refused so I hopped into the other side pushing him into the drivers seat. I told him, "You drive but remember: I will never let you into my car or allow you to drive it again."

Note:

Awake I have this feeling that it is about me driving my own life and others trying to drive it as well.

Hi Gunter,

Welcome to the Forums. Yes, you're right about the dream being about the issue of who (or which aspects of yourself) is in the driving seat of your life at the moment.

Your car was full of people as well as a dog, so there is a feeling, perhaps, of being overcrowded: too many people having a say.

I find it most instructive to look at all people in a dream as representing parts of the dreamer. We bring different attitudes and approaches to the fore in different situations in our life, or push other aspects of ourselves into the back seat of our affairs.

Although Frank is your twin, his name may be of significance here, as dreams do pull in people to use their names symbolically. I have seen quite a few dreams where people named Frank have been brought in to represent 'being frank'. Is there as issue about frankness playing a key role in your life now? Are you grappling with being frank or with not being frank enough over an issue?

What are the key differences in personality/approach to life between Frank and yourself? Why might Frank's personality (within yourself) be trying to drive your life at the moment?

What are the driving forces in your life now? Which ones are causing you irritation? Which ones would you like to change? What kind of attributes are needed, at present, to move forward?

Hope some of these questions help, Gunter.

I saw your post in the Synchronicity Forum: perhaps you are going through a process of discovering your own talents (jewels, gems, precious things)... related to the female side (creativity, intuition, emotions etc).

Thanks for the info Jane Frank is a more forceful person than I have all my live been a passanger and had others say and do the thing that I would have liked to say and do, even in my marrage. How ever Lately I have begun to take charge and begin to develop stronger both in personality and spirit. Over the last 12 months I have developed a lot in the spiritual side, but still have a mountain to get over which I believe if my female side
