In an elevator in a hotel, I have a key on key chain in the shape of a gold coin (like a medal). On it is the number 9 which I saw as the floor number while 8 is below it and I think this is the room number.

I am with people I don't know. We get off the elevator. People are eating from a buffet.

Kosher food is separated from the other food. I am on one side of the buffet table as we discuss the food we have in our rooms and what we will make. I think, “Hey, people are still being served. I could get some food here too.”

I particularly watch an older, fattish, typical Jewish kind of feaster dig in at the buffet for a plate apparently set aside for her.

This scene reminds me of a scene from "A Blessing", where they are at the hotel.

Hi Sd.

Hotels are usually representing transitional times, I believe.

You realize that you could get some food here too and maybe that you could be nourished during this transitional time. As well you'd even have your pick between the kosher food or the 'other' food -- or perhaps that is saying that Kosher food can still be found in other places?

If the feeling is going back to that book, and 'A Blessing' in the Jewish faith (as you told me) is given before a trip, maybe the upcoming trip is one that will provide you with many opportunities.? I feel like I'm waffling here...

As for the key -- don't you usually lose your keys in your dreams? You have this one and it is gold! From your title alone, too, I'd think this is a transition into the key to your worth. You have a hold of it this time around!

Go for the gold Sd!

Set aside a plate for the "other" ~ fat times ahead! Everybody gets served ~ WOW! I want served too.

I am with Angela; sounds like a transition to me. I wonder which way the elevator is going? I'm assuming up. Feels like, riding an elevator with strangers, that you will be called upon to perform something. Act out anger? As in convince yourself that you're angry and express it.

Gold, yes, SD! Maybe you could find a plate with a gold coin set in it. Key into the gold in you ~ it's right there. You're in my thoughts.

It is pretty clear from many of your postings that you have big decisions to make in your life. Your postings throughout seem to point that way. Here are my thoughts.

You have the answer right in front of you. key on a gold coin keychain.Angela is right. The key to something inside you that will bring you great happiness. Feasting. A platter will be set aside just for you.

DM thomas is a flag for Angela but for you I reminded of his symbol of the White Hotel. The hotel is ourselves. The rooms and halls aspects of our life and the people in it all parts of ourself. From mothers womb to the future. I hope this is near the mark and great feasting lies closely ahead for you SD. I have been thinking about this a lot the past day and awoke with these thoughts at 3:45 AM my time.

My heart is still pounding from the thoughts you gave me for my dream. What a grand gift for a stranger, someone totally unknown to you(yet totally known as well)

Liam, hi! See newton thread - I went on with the childhood thing there, I think you caught it. 8 / 9 I realized from inside another dream is the tail end of an address where the "gold" path began. Reading Hesse's Steppenwolf and there is a wonderful passage about the 'track of shining gold" . Gold and yellow have been big topics for me in these forums, I think this is a tying up-opening up of this imagery. Caught in a coin, so to say. Nice to see you in the member's forum. sd
