Subject: Left-Handed Guitar

I was practicing my bass guitar and I wasn't able to play it normally, with my right hand picking, and the left on the frets.

I flipped the guitar over and tried it the other way and I was able to play it just fine. My right hand was doing all the work now.

Note:

In my recent dream, ‘Murder’, it was the right hand that was calloused hand.

Audrey, this is so close to home for me that I'm afraid to contribute.Oh well, please truth test it for yourself. Calloused "working" right hand is your thinking side. Your using it too much at the expense of the feeling "nurturing" side? My calloused thinking side was well aware of my "issues" and needs, but didn't feel them or feed them. (Shouldn't knowing them be enough? Lots of people don't even get that far.)It's not enough, as the babies keep coming back. Just a thought.

hi audrey,

i agree with diane about the hands represent the thinking and feeling elements. the right keeps doing all the work. Even with your guitar, your right hand does all the "picking" which could be associated with sorting, scrutinising, analysing. Your left hand works on the frets or "feels" its way along. This has a close connection to the murder dream you had or atleast a similar theme. Is your intellect dominating your actions? Thinking things through rather than feeling the way. Imbalance where the mind is ruling the emotions even when things need to emotionally handled or you need to feel your way.

wishes,

janelle

Hi Audrey.

Oh yes, 'thinking and feeling' as Diane and Janelle said.

I also wanted to say that there are a couple 'play-on-words' puzzles in here too: 'bass' guitar, as perhaps the 'bass' of the problem?; and 'fret', (also like Janelle mentioned) as fretting? or worrying?

Just a couple more things for you to ponder.

All the best.

Angela.
