I had a dream last night that kind of bothered me. I have become very aware of my mortality since the untimely death of a friend at age 27, I'm 32. I dreamed last night that the doctors diagnosed a brain tumor and I could visibly see it on the x-ray they showed. What could this possible mean?

Hi Khar96,

To look at your dream from an interpretation point of view, we would need more details. However, just to set your mind at rest, here are some possibilities:

In rare circumstances our dreams do pick up on physical symptoms. However, dreams being dreams, they rarely portray physical symptoms literally. In other words, if you did have a brain tumour growing, your dreams would probably picture this in a symbolic way. To further put your mind at rest, you might wish to have a medical check up of course.

Given your awareness of your mortality and the fact that this must be 'playing on your mind' (otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it), the growth in your brain in your dream most probably symbolises the growth in your concerns within your mind (brain) about these matters.

I would suggest looking at some of your other dreams (you might like to post them here), as these will help to show what is going on for you right now and help to get to the symbolic bottom of your brain tumour dream.

Hope this helps alleviate the worry. The gift within your fears is to grab each day and really live it .. life may be mortal, but more so the treasure ...
