Hi Michelle,
Watching movies often teaches us something about ourselves as we get so involved in the characters and the roles they are playing. We usually identify with one or two characters who leave us with stirred emotions or food for thought. (Depending on what kind of films you see, though!)
When we find ourselves in the cinema in dreams, we often learn something about ourselves too. Our dreaming mind borrows the cinema symbol as a background for learning. (Of course, cinemas mean different things to different people and so can have a variety of meanings in dreams, but this is a common one.)
What is also common is to dream a whole dream in a cinema without seeing the film at all. This emphasises the symbolism of the setting even more.
What happened in your dream was that you moved from an enjoyable, relaxed, spacious feeling to a crowded-out, aggressivly-attacked kind of feeling (I imagine).
Usually the characters in our dreams represent aspects of ourselves, so it is likely that the man in your dream represented an aspect of yourself: probably your approach to work as this was how you recognised him in the dream.
He was sitting on your left side, which often symbolises your inner self, and you both moved further right, which usually symbolises your outer self (how you appear to the world.)
Putting all this together, do you put yourself under pressure at work? Do you pressurise yourself to be "harsh or aggressive" at work or in your outer world? Do you react to times of isolation or relaxation by making yourself really busy and pushing yourself out there? Are you your own worse enemy?
What "crowds you out" in life? How do you usually react? How comfortable or uncomfortable do you feel about being on your own, and how often does this happen?
Contemplating these thoughts and questions should lead you to a closer realisation of what your dream movie was trying to show you Michelle.
Let us know what comes up for you.
Hope this helps.
