I was walking with a group of people including my husband across a beach to get to our house.
When we arrived it was a very new house and I did not recognise it at all. It was so new that the sawdust and other mess from building had not been cleaned up, however we were having a dinner party.
We had hired caterers but we were providing and cooking the entrée which was whole fish. This was being cooked by some of the male guests (none of whom I recognised) and the caterers kept at me asking when should they start cooking the main course.
They could hardly "work" the cook-top as it was so modern. It pulled down from the ceiling.
Things got underway with the cooking but by the time the entrée had been eaten everyone had had so much food that they doubted whether they could manage a main course.
This made me very unhappy to the point of sobbing and it took a close friend quite a long time before she could console me and persuade me to rejoin the party.
