Hi Julie,
Start by looking at the recurrence of 3 in your dream, as any repetition is a clue.
The 3 may refer to when you were three years old, or to something that happened three years ago, or to three projects or other significant happenings in your life now.
The hotel suggests 'temporary' (we stay in hotels temporarily).
Fire often symbolises anger or frustration. The burnt floors and rooms may symbolise a feeling you have of being 'burned out'. But remember that new growth always follows a fire - the phoenix rises from the ashes - a new energy emerges following burn-out exhaustion.
Perhaps the hotel symbolised rest - time to recover from burn-out and to let new energy grow. This may explain why your room was untouched even though the rest of the floor and the two below were affected.
If the three friends are people you know in waking life, ask yourself what personality traits or approaches to life they have in common. What do these people mean to you. How would they fit into this dream, given its meaning?
You were in the corner - have you been feeling cornered, or is a corner room one that gives you a better view? If you rest and take a wider view, perhaps recovery from burn-out or anger (or exhaustion from pent-up anger) will help to replenish you.
How might this relate to when you were three, or three years ago?
Three in a dream can also draw emphasis on the body, mind and soul - the physical, mental/emotional and spiritiual levels of waking life and dreaming.
In your dream levels one and two were burned and much of level three except where you had your corner view. Have recent events pushed you to view your life differently, from a spiritual view point - a slightly different spiritual viewpoint? (Or, is this the dream's advice to you, do you feel?
Hope this helps, Julie,
