Hi everyone.

I guess I'm the only one synching these days, or at least the only one talking about it. :)

A couple mornings ago I dreamt I was in my parent's backyard, where my father's tree fruit nursery was. He and I were standing along the edge when a rush of white milky water came by. I noticed that there were, what looked liked shark's peaks, razoring through the ankle deep water. They were almost square.

I awoke to the phone ringing -- a pipe had burst in the restaurant and the water flooded the black and white tiled floor.

Ankle deep. Black and white. The nursery was my father's business, the restaurant is mine...

I also note the repetitive black and white theme for me. But, you know, it's too bad the dream doesn't come a couple days before rather than the moment of...

Hi Angela, Have you discovered the emotions that have been impeding your business progress yet? - something that was an issue for your father as well most probably. If this is something you have been working on for some time, then maybe you didn't get any warning because you were being left to work it out yourself - read the signs so to speak. I have had a similar situation with my business which involved making choices that in the past I would have rushed. This time I held back and held back until I could see the bigger picture and was then able to make wiser choices. At the end of the whole process it had a long dream where I was fighting off would be assassins. The Sherrif and his deputies ( who had come to help me) were not strong enough to overcome the strongest of the assassins - I had to do that myself - and I did! The other point worth noting is that I too have a black and white tiled floor in my studio where I run my business. Peta

Hi Peta.

That's interesting. I hadn't really thought of it as more than a precognitive dream that wasn't quite precognitive because of its timing...

My father's business was always viewed as some kind of hobby by my mother. She controlled how much money he could put into it. My business is secondary in my life and I am not the major owner. And, ironically, the other owner controls the money... I never really thought of the similarities to my father. Thanks Peta.

Very cool that you have a b & w tiled floor too!

In one of my very first tidal wave dreams (where the tidal wave was going across the whole world) I had to save an old couple eating in a restaurant which had a black and white tiled floor and the table cloths were red and white checkered. I just thought that was kind of interesting, but the dream ocurred about 12 years ago. But what is really interesting is that sometimes I will have dreams that have similarities to things that are happening currently and the dreams will have happenned about 6 years before.

Hi Shalie21.

Thanks for sharing in on the b & w tiled floor synch. and floods... I noted that you asked a question on the dream forum similar to this statement about having occurrences similar to dreams that you had years ago. This is something that happens to me a lot. I also have memories of dreams for, what I have deemed to be, 'no apparent reason'. But there is reason. Your mind would not have brought it back to the conscious level if there was not something needing to be learned or listened to.

Sometimes the number of years between the dream and the reality is important too. They can point to when an event occurred or a time in your life that you need to pay attention to. In all likelihood, if your mind is pulling stuff up on you, it has bearing on your present life. Pay attention to it and combine it with other dreams and synchronicities happening around you. The signs are everywhere. You get a real sense of being 'connected' when this happens. It is very special. Receiving it is the gift, acting on takes the skill.

All the best.

Angela.

WHAT IS
SYNCHRONICITY?

Jane Teresa's Explanation

Jane Teresa Anderson

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?

________

Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way.

Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ...

Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.

Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams.

When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness.

At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity.

To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.

Reality may never feel the same again!

______

P.S.

In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream.

The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.

This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow.

What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)

It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.

Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.

There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.

My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.

Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.

Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.
