Subject: Crows

I mentioned in an earlier posting about my usual "weekly themes" which I now understand to be synchronicities. Thought I'd pop them on occasionally for what might transpire. Sometimes the message isn't clear to me too so comment is always welcome.

Last week was crows or black wing spans. Examples include being on the very tip of Moreton Island where the lighthouse is. I was sitting on the cliff that looks out to sea where an enormous black wing span blocked my view. It was really close and silent. Only when it passed did the sound suddenly roar. It was an F1-11 on its side rounding the cliff. As it was on its side all I saw was the top of the plane which is expansive and all black. It was almost close enough to see the pilot! I was stunned - it was amazing! Then a few days later i was talking with a friend when we noticed a cat lying on the flat top of a block of units next door. Suddenly a huge crow came right down on top of the cat and tried to pick it up. The cat jumped up and escaped but it was also "amazing". The black wing span again is imprinted in my memory. Various things with crows occurred including finding one with what seemed to be an animal in its claws in a tree. It was making a big noise. Then a strange thing happened in my photography class. I had taken a quick roll of film in black and white and was developing it in the dark room. It was mainly of seagulls and crows because they happened to dominant the park we went into for our photo shoot on that particular day. I developed a picture I remembered taking of a crow eating a piece of bread and what came out was the crow on the ground as expected. What also came out in the black and white photo was seven black wing span shadows in the background. Crows must have been hovering above and I didn't realise at the time of taking the photo. Nevertheless their wing spanned shadows completely dominated the picture and it is really an unusual picture. That was last week and I haven't seen one crow this week although reading Amy's dream posting just now rekindled my memory of crows. This week's "theme" is manifesting around bolts of all things. Big, old screws! I found one in my garden which was unusual and grabbed my attention. then last night I saw the "Bone Collector" and an old bolt was a significant clue. Today my work colleague took me on a wild goose chase trying to find a very specific big, old bolt which once was used to bind books! He needs it for a game he has created and we went to an assortment of nuts and bolts related places! There you go!

Janelle

WHAT IS
SYNCHRONICITY?

Jane Teresa's Explanation

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?

________

Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way.

Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ...

Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.

Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams.

When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness.

At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity.

To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.

Reality may never feel the same again!

______

P.S.

In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream.

The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.

This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow.

What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)

It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.

Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.

There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.

My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.

Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.

Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.
