You have entrusted me with confidential material, much of which had not yet been expressed to many of your close relations, spouses or friends. It seems strange to think that we might pass each other on the street as strangers, since I have met few of you in person.For your trust, for placing your confidence in me to do justice to your experiences, and for the sheer time, labour, thought and emotional energy which you have all devoted towards the creation of this book, I thank you.
