Chapter 8

The Guide to Good Dreaming
and a Better Life

What Do You Want to Achieve?

Do you wish to remember more dreams (increase dream frequency), experience better quality dreams (increase dream detail) or get relief from nightmares, until you know how to ‘read’ them and understand what they are telling you?

Key to the Guide:

  • For quantity direction (dream frequency), follow items marked
  • For quality direction (dream detail), follow items marked
  • To ease nightmares, follow items marked

Guidelines in italics are based on the profiles compiled by looking at groups of the highest scoring individuals in various categories, rather than the across-the-board data upon which the main conclusions are drawn.

The profile categories were:

dream frequency

dream detail

nightmares

strong senses

The Guide to Good Dreaming is based on the results of the Dream Survey only. Details of these and further advice is given throughout Part One.

Postscript

What is the purpose of improving your dreaming if you do nothing with it other than enjoy the ride? Perhaps the fun and adventure are reason enough, time out, escape, but this survey has shown that dreams, once understood, have the power to improve your life. The key words are ‘once understood’. So, come now, let’s visit the Magician on the Astral Plane, where all that is bizarre begins to make sense, and where dream interpretation magic empowers you to ‘Sleep on it … and change your life’.
