News update
Jane Teresa Anderson, September 2010

Have you seen Inception the movie yet? I’ve had a bit of fun this month responding to the media’s interest in all things dream since the movie came out. First up I was down in Sydney for Sunrise, our national breakfast TV show here in Australia, getting the presenters to question if they were awake or dreaming. Watch the video clip here.
And here’s a bit of more in-depth coverage on my blog.
The next week I was on The Morning Show – well, I did a live cross from Brisbane – discussing recent research into dreams, and got to watch my favourite clip from Inception which they used at the start of the show. View the interview and movie clip here.
Remember Heidi, my guest on podcast episode 68, The Dream Show? Heidi runs Sanctus Stones along with her mother and sister, and this month they launched a dream wristlet for me – and for you. (I’m wearing it on the Sunrise clip, and you’ll see me refer to it there as a totem you can use for lucid dreaming. It has many other dream uses, and it’s also a colourful piece of jewellery. Have a look at the dream wristlets as well as the rest of the Sanctus Stones collection here.
The media got excited this month about research showing a possible link between people who thrash about in bed while they’re dreaming and the later development of dementia, in particular, Parkinson’s Disease. Here’s my blog on the subject.
Fran, one of our podcast listeners, emailed me to ask if we should do a dream alchemy practice for every dream. Imagine how ridiculously busy you’d be! I realised I needed to address this question, probably one many people have wanted to ask. Here’s my blog reply: some solid, practical advice.
Did you catch all The Dream Show podcast episodes during August? Highlights: Kylie dreaming about two pregnant men (episode 70), Trish dreaming about mesmerising old fashioned wallpaper (episode 69), and Heidi dreaming she was connected with something illegal (episode 68). If you missed any of these, give yourself a treat – some you time – tune in and enjoy some universal insights.
Behind the scenes our new online shop is in production, but the current one is still happily doing business meanwhile!
Wishing you a happy first day of spring or autumn, depending on where you are in the world!
May September bring you many blessings,
Jane Teresa Anderson
